Examination
-(Stress)Myocardial Perfusion Imaging-

What can be detected by (stress) myocardial perfusion imaging test?

Myocardial perfusion imaging is a test which shows which parts of the heart muscle have good blood flow and which parts do not, whether myocardial cell are alive or not and how well blood flows to the muscle of the heart.
Stress myocardial perfusion imaging is another way to assess the flood flow to the heart muscle when it is stressed by exercise or medication. If blood vessels get blocked in a light condition, diseased parts can not be found by the test while you are resting. Stressing patient's heart makes it possible to distinguish the diseased parts from the healthy parts.
