What can be detected by abdominal ultrasound test?
A handheld unit called a transducer with gel is pressed against your abdomen and use reflected sound waves to create images, therefore, the test is totally painless. Also, ultrasound is not radiation related, so the test is safe as well.
To detect abnormalities in the bladder, the bladder ultrasound test must be carried out under a full bladder, so please confirm precautions to be taken before the test.
