Information about the Services available in K-tower

Concierge Service Information The professional staff at our concierge desk will help you in whatever way they can to ensure you will have a comfortable stay at Kameda Medical Center. As a representative of your family, they will work to minimize any inconveniences you may have, accommodate requests during your stay, and coordinate services for you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask the staff. No reservation is necessary.
Catalogue of ServicesBecause we want every patient to be comfortable during his or her hospitalization, we offer many unique services at K-tower. Please visit the concierge desk directly, or call the desk by using the extension number for more information.
Calls received before 5:00 PM will result in the same day service. Requests registered after 5:00 PM will be responded to the next day.
Miscellaneous Items for Purchase
You can purchase postage stamps, mailing cards, telephone cards (only usable within the territory of Japan), and bus tickets (general buses, special buses to Tokyo and Chiba) at the concierge desk in K-tower.
Delivery Service
We offer delivery service to all patients upon request. The delivery charge from stores in the hospital to your room is 100 yen per delivery. The service from shops in Kamogawa City to your room is 500 yen per delivery. Delivery of out-of-town purchases will be subject to an additional charge (TBD based on proximity to Kameda Medical Center).
The new delivery fee schedule became effective in April 2005. We will always do our best to deliver the merchandise to our patients as quickly as possible. We do both appreciate, and thank you in advance for your patience. Home-Delivery Service
If you want your luggage or other personal items delivered to your house, please contact the concierge desk, or bring your luggage to the concierge desk located at the 1st floor of K-tower by 2:00 PM.

Our staff is happy to both deliver and receive these transmissions from your room for a nominal service charge of 100 yen/occurance.
Accommodation Services for Visitors
In most situations, it is not necessary for a visitors to stay with a patient.* For these guests, we can arrange accommodations at a local hotel or tourist house, if requested. Please contact the concierge desk for more information.

Tully's Coffee is a specialty coffee retailer and wholesaler based in Seattle, Washington, United States with locations around the world.
Tully's serves specialty coffees, espresso, baked goods, pastries, and coffee-related supplies.
If you would like to utilize the wireless network, HOTSPOT service is offered in Tully's and the surround areas. Daily or monthly rates are available for purchase from the concierge desk located on the 1st floor of K-Tower.
Flower Shop "Pua Lei"

At Pua Lei, you will find some of the most beautiful and unique flowers from around the world. The staff at Pua Lei is happy to provide custom floral arrangements, bouquets (both live and artificial), and plants for purchase.
These flowers can be delivered to our patient rooms.
Chiba-Kogyo-Bank Cash Corner
Location: 1st floor of K-towerOpen: 8:00-21:00 from Monday to Saturday

This local ATM can be used for withdrawing money, making deposits, and transferring funds. Depending on your particular agreement with your financial institution, you may be responsible for charges associated with using this ATM. Please see the ATM guide, located next to the machine, for more information.
Please note: Foreign credit and debit cards cannot be used at this ATM. If you would like to use an ATM, the Kamogawa Post Office has an International ATM that accepts most cards (Cirrus).
Patient Resource Center "PLATANUS"
Location: 1st floor of K-towerAt this kiosk, you can research healthcare related topics and diseases. You will find this helpful if you:
1) want to know more about your own disease.
2) want to know how to maintain your health.
3) want to know about proper nutrition and lifestyle.
4) want to know how to take your medicine and learn about any side effects
5) cand much more!
Ways to use PLATANUS
1) Read books and watch videos at the kiosk.
2) Request a copy of the material from Kameda staff (10yen/sheet of paper).
3) View pamphlets and take them with you.
4) Borrow books.

Rather this resource can be used to supplement information provided by the medical staff. If you find you have a question while researching, please feel free to discuss this with your doctor.
Welfare Equipment Shop "Kameda Community Care Services"

We want to assure that quality care continues when you leave the hospital and return home. To help you make the transition, clerks in the welfare equipment shop will work in cooperation with a care manager, social worker, nurse, and rehabilitation staff to make sure that your healthcare service and welfare needs can be met after discharge. (For example, in this shop, there are a wide variety of wheelchairs, beds, and other home health items that can be demonstrated, purchased and sent to your home.)
If you have any questions related to home health, please contact the clerks at this store.
Relaxation Salon "PONOPONO"
Location: 4th Floor of K-towerTo assist in treating the holistic needs of our patients, K-Tower offers Ponopono. At Ponopono, our female patients can receive aromatherapy, nail care treatments, and counseling related to support undergarments (for women who have experienced physical changes following surgery).
Please note: There is an additional charge for both aromatherapy and nail care treatment.
Hair care, Facial salon "NANI"
Location: 5th Floor of K-towerRecognizing that being in the hospital doesn't mean that you can't feel pampered, K-Tower showcases Nani, a salon where you can have a haircut and style, or even a spa facial!
Additionally, at Nani, counseling services are offered for those concerned about the effects of medical treatments on their hair. To assist patients who have lost their hair, Nani offers wig consultation services on a rotating basis.
Please note: There are additional charges for these services. Also, these services are only available to female patients.
DELICA Shop
Location: 13th Floor of K-towerHours: 11:00-17:00

At Delica, homemade cheesecakes, juices, and ice cream are available for patients, visitors, or the general public.
Please note: For patients, it is required that your doctor allows you to modify your diet to include items not on the hospital menu.
Lounge "oLioLi"
Location: 13th floor of K-towerHours: 11:00-20:30
Located on the top of K-Tower, oLioLi provides breathtaking views of Kamogawa and the Pacific Ocean. Feel free to visit this lounge and enjoy one of desserts from Delica, or grab a soda from one of the vending machines and catch up on world events while watching our flat screen television.
If you would like to utilize the wireless network, HOTSPOT service is offered in oLioLi. Daily or monthly rates are available for purchase from the concierge desk located on the 1st floor of K-Tower.
Restaurant "Kirakutei"
Location: 13th floor of K-towerHours: 11:00-20:30 (Last call: 20:00)
Closed: From 30th December to 3rd January
At Kirakutei, you can experience a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean while enjoying Japanese or Western dishes by some of Kamogawa's top chefs. We care not only about excellent taste, but also healthful eating. That is why we use fresh, local ingredients and provide nutritional information about all the food on our menu.
Reservations are recommended, but not required.
Barber 929

This barbershop, located across from Lawson, is open to patients, visitors, and the general public.
The staff at 929 request that you make advanced reservations or escorting service to before you visit their shop.
Mini-massages are available in this shop. (500 yen/service).
Beauty Salon 929
Location: 1st floor of A-tower Hours: 8:30-17:30
Closed: Tuesday
At the beauty salon, staff offer haircuts, wave perms, hair coloring, hair relaxers, and traditional Kimono dressing (for these services, you will need to take an appointment). There is also hair care and wig counseling available.
Bakery "Mikomiko"
Location: 1st floor of A-tower Hours: 9:00-18:00

Mikomiko, a Hawaiian word, translated means "Delicious" in the Japanese language. At this bakery, you will find a wide assortment of tasty treats sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
The staff at Mikomiko staff looks forward to serving you.
Convenience Store "LAWSON"
Location: 1st floor of A-towerHours: 24/7 shops
LAWSON, a full-service convience store offers a wide variety of foods, snacks, magazines and personal items for patients, visitors and the general public. Please visit LAWSON for some "one-stop " shopping during your stay.
LIBRARY "Mambo"
Location: 8th floor of A-towerHours: Weekdays
Daily from 10:00 am to 12:00 am.
Please note: On occasion the opening time may be changed. Please listen to the morning announcement from the information center for any changes.

Checking out policy: A total of up to five books may be borrowed at one time. These books are to be returned to the library within one week.
This library service is available at no charge.
When checking out a book, please give your name and room number to the librarian.
Also, if you have books or encyclopedias of your own that you would like to donate to our library, please let the librarian know. We would be very appreciative of your donation.
Laundry "Cleaning shop 929" & Coin washing machine

Closed: Sundays & National holidays
At this dry cleaner, the staff will process your laundry or any other personal items that may need cleaning for a nominal fee. Because 929 only uses natural cleaning products, the process is odorless and the clothes will not irritate your skin.
Coin washing machine
Location: 1st floor of S-towerHours: 8:00-18:00 (7 days a week)
We have six washing machines and dryers available for your use during your stay. Each can hold approximately 8kg of clothes.
If you are in the hospital, you can also request to have your laundry picked up at your room (1,000 yen/occasion). Please call the concierge desk to use this service.
