The department of surgery consists of 4 divisions: general (gastrointestinal), chest, breast and pediatric. Each division has specialists responsible for their divisions, respectively, and the whole department is unified and integrated by the chairman, Nobuyasu Kano, MD, Ph.D., FACE.
Severe trauma cases are treated in the emergency center.
