Kameda General Hospital

Kameda General Hospital, a 917-bed hospital, is one of the core facilities of Kameda Medical Center. With the support of an excellent staff and highly efficient medical technology, Kameda General Hospital has become a world-class hospital. For patients in need of acute care, Kameda General Hospital has become well known for their first-rate intensive care units (ICU, CCU, ECU, NCU, NICU, and MFICU). The location of the intensive care units, each strategically integrated with its respective specialty floor, allows specialists ease and flexibility in visiting patients. In August of 2009, Kameda underwent a successful accreditation by Joint Commission International (JCI) and became the first hospital in Japan to be accredited by this global standard, and maintains accreoitation. K-Tower, opened in April 2005, brings an entirely new concept to patient care with state of the art private rooms (320 beds) that provide fantastic ocean views for all patients. Also, unique to K-Tower is Kirakutei, an ocean view restaurant featuring Japanese and Italian fare, which sits atop the building.

Delivery Service

We offer delivery service to all patients upon your request from Monday to Saturday. The delivery from stores inside the hospital to your room costs 100 yen per delivery.

Fax & Copy Service

International fax services require additional cost which may vary depending on the country you send to. LAWSON, the convenience store located in the L-Wing, also offers domestic and international fax and copy / print out services with English menu and lower costs.

We also pick up and deliver to your room, if you want. (100 yen / a time)

Home-Delivery Service

If you want your baggage delivered to your home, please bring it to the concierge desk on the 1st floor of K-tower by 2:00pm. Baggage can also be picked up at your room by calling, which costs 100 yen as a commission.

Sale

We sell Postage stamps and letter packs.

Accommodation Service for visitors

We can arrange accommodation at a hotel or tourist house for your guests if available. Please contact the concierge desk for more information.

Gift and Welfare equipment shop "PAOLA"

"Paola" means quick recovery in Hawaiian.
We want to assure that quality care continues to your home. Clerks at the store in cooperation with a care manager, social worker, nurse, and staff at rehabilitation are available to offer you services / welfare goods. Please feel free to talk to clerks at the store.
On the opposite side, there is a show room of wheelchairs, walkers, and portable toilets, etc.

We also offer a wide assortment of unique gifts for someone special. Additionally, you will find toiletries, aroma diffusers, and cooking books there.

Welfare Equipment Shop "Kameda Community Care Services"

We want to assure that quality care continues when you leave the hospital and return home. To help you make the transition, clerks in the welfare equipment shop will work in cooperation with a care manager, social worker, nurse, and rehabilitation staff to make sure that your healthcare service and welfare needs can be met after discharge. (For example, in this shop, there are a wide variety of wheelchairs, beds, and other home health items that can be demonstrated, purchased and sent to your home.)

Tully's Coffee

Tully's offers specialty coffees, espresso, baked goods, and pastries.

ATM of Chiba-Kogyo-Bank

Withdrawing money, making deposits, and bank transfer are available through ATM. Depending on your circumstances, you may be charged the handling fee. Please see the ATM guide (in Japanese), located next to the machine, for more information. If you need to know in English, please ask International Patient Services office.
There is also another ATM in the convenience store, LAWSON, which accepts more domestic cards.

Please note: Foreign credit and debit cards are not acceptable at this ATM. If you would like to use an ATM, the Kamogawa Post Office and the convenience store "Seven Eleven" have an International ATM that accepts most of cards.

Relaxation Salon "PONOPONO"

To provide a comfortable hospital stay experience, we offer relaxation services such as massages using aromatherapy oils, nail care treatments, hand and foot care, as well as information regarding post-operative support underwear. Please keep in mind that a reservation is required for these services.

Beauty Salon "NANI"

"DELICA" Shop (delicatessen)

You can take out juices, soft ice creams, homemade soups and cakes, and other desserts or enjoy them in the oLioLi lounge next to it.

Lounge "oLioLi"

"Olioli" means joyful in Hawaiian.
Located on the top of K-Tower, oLioLi provides breathtaking views of Kamogawa and the Pacific Ocean. Feel free to visit this lounge where you can relax with a flat-screen and take advantage of wireless Internet service. You can bring your own food and also enjoy soups or cakes from DELICA here.

Restaurant "Kirakutei"

The Kirakutei Restaurant serves Japanese and Italian cuisine, as well as a Teppanyaki counter, prepared from fresh, local ingredients by some of Kamogawa's top chefs, along with breathtaking views of the city and the Pacific. It is open to the public and also provides room service meals to patients and their families.

Bakery "Mikomiko"

"Mikomiko", a Hawaiian word, means delicious. Mikomiko Bakery tempts any sweet tooth with an assortment of treats.

LIBRARY "Mambo"

Please note: This library is run by volunteers and its opening hours is depending on their circumstances.
Please ask a nurse or a concierge whether it’s opened, or pay attention to the announcement.

"Mambo" means Mola mola, Ocean Sunfish in Japanese.
Most of books are in Japanese. You can borrow up to five books at once. Please return them within a week.

Convenience Store "LAWSON"

LAWSON offers a wide variety of items for our patients, their families and visitors. Domestic and international fax services, copy/ print out services and ATM are also available here. They accept parcels up to 30kg. as "Yu-pack", Japan Post's domestic parcel delivery service. Also there is a mail box next to the right side of cashier counter.

E.g.: pajamas, T-belts, abdominal bandages, magazines, earphones, disposable diapers, toiletries, clothes & underwear, postage stamps, etc.

Barber&Beauty Salon "Le Paysage"

Haircut, perming, coloring, treatment, shaving, hair set, make up, facial massage and even dressing in Kimono are available. It is opened to public, means both of male and female customers.
